Gill has worked with children and families for over thirty years, both in Centre and family childcare settings. She believes children are capable and competent and confidence grows from this.
She has presented in North Dakota, Ontario and Manitoba about how to get children excited and inquisitive about outdoor play during all types of weather. She honours children’s natural curiosity and physicality by inviting them and respecting them to take risks and test out their limits.
Her Workshops have included process art using hand and power tools, Risky Art, How to make Lab fires, Outdoor snacks, Children connecting to space and place in their community.
Gill is a mother of five adult children and grandmother of an inquisitive will be seven year old.
Some of her personal interests include hiking, camping and kayaking. Her creative side includes her
skills as a fusion fabric artist and creative knitter of small bears.
