Kisa Maclsaac
Ka Ni Kanichihk ECE III, Indigenous Curriculum Lead
Treaty 1, Winnipeg
Kisa MacIsaac (she/her) is Métis, a mother of three, an artist, and Early Years Educator residing on Treaty 1 Territory. She is the Indigenous Curriculum Lead and upcoming director of Medicine Children’s Lodge at Ka Ni Kanichihk - an Indigenous-led community based organization. Kisa believes that the land is the most powerful curriculum, and our most profound and meaningful learning experiences come from the time spent outdoors in a child-led, enriched and joyful learning environment. She has been leading wellness-through-art workshops since 2015, and believes that time spent being creative is a powerful form of medicine - with the power to heal, to find insight and stillness, to feel in balance and connect to our ancestors.
