2022 Manitoba Nature Summit

Combining two ways to enjoy nature inside. A quick guide to successfully setting up an aquarium in your classroom as well as easy care plants for both in (aquatic plants) and out (aquaponics part) of the water.

We will begin with participants sharing any experiences they have had with fishkeeping, positive or negative.   We will move on to a discussion about how both fish and plants can benefit our mental health before getting into how to get started setting up an aquarium.  We will go over the important things to know and common mistakes to avoid before finishing up looking at various plants we can grow both in and out of our aquarium.

We will finish with a draw for someone to take home an aquarium and everything need to get started with fishkeeping at their own center.
